Insulation kit put together by us here at Magnums
Insulation if one of the areas where it is hard to give a definitive quantity on how much you need for a van conversion as everyone does it to a different level.
From our experience of converting and selling a lot of insulation for people converting vans we have put together what we believe to be a kit big enough to insulate a LWB panel van conversions such as a Fiat Ducato, VW Crafter or Mercedes Sprinter
Depending on how far and detailed you go with the insulation you may need need a little more or less of each item
The Darcon comes in 15m roll however the Unicon is sold by the meter and the Deadn Hex sheets are sold individually so if you wanted to make your own kit please contact us with quantities

50 x DODO Sound DEADN sheets
30 x meters of Unicon – self adhesive, dense closed cell foam. Vapour barrier with sound deadening properties.
45 x meters of Dacron (white polyester, 35mm thick)
6 x Trim fix high temperature spray glue

UNICON: 7mm Self Adhesive Foam With Silver Foil
This simply layers over most panels and ribs of the van.
The foam is made from cross linked polyethylene and comes self self adhesive one side and embossed aluminium foil the other.
It gives great insulating and and sound deadening properties.
At only 80gms/m2 is is also light weight.
Easy to install with self adhesive backing, simply cut to size, peel the packing off and stick in your desired position.
Flexible so easy to work into and around corners and rubs etc.
Once installed sound levels drop dramatically as well as keep the vans both warmer in winter and cooler in summer.
Also reduces condensation dramatically.

TRIM FIX HIGH TEMP GLUE:
You will need this glue to bond the White Dacron to the Unicon.
Directions For Use:
The surface to be bonded must be clean, dry and contaminate free
From approximately 25cm (10″) spray one surface horizontally and the other vertically each to a minimum coverage of 80%.
Allow the adhesive to become touch dry.
Press firmly together from the centre working outwards to achieve a good contact and exclude any air bubbles
